About me

In my final years of high school, I found myself at a crossroads as to whether I should go into animal biology or the arts for university. Both of which I was reluctant to give up. It was then my art teacher suggested I attend careers night to see what jobs could combine the two fields. I was fortunate to have been introduced to the field of biomedical communications and since then, I knew I wanted to be a medical illustrator.

Although I completed my undergraduate degree in biology at the University of British Columbia, I was still able to pursue my passions for visual arts with electives (like comics class), designing posters, and illustrating biological concepts in my notes. Now in BMC, it is an incredible opportunity to be able to explore the possibilities in visual media and design to their fullest potential.

Iā€™m excited to be a part of the Biomedical Communication community and learn from my colleagues.
