Infographic - Blue blood.
The intended target of the information graphic are undergraduate biology students as they would be learning about proteins, phylogenetic trees, and immunology. In line with these topics, hemocyanin was introduced in a poster layout to grab the student’s attention. The horseshoe crab in the center acts as the focal point and sheds insight into hemocyanin’s flow in a open circulatory pathway through the horseshoe crab. In addition, the visual elements summarize the key points of the chemical structure, evolution, and applications.
